As the world prepares for the coronation of a new king on 6 May 2023, there is an air of excitement and anticipation in the air. Hosting an event to celebrate this historic moment is not only a great way to join in the festivities, but it is also an opportunity to bring the community together for a truly memorable occasion. From the hustle and bustle of street parties to charming trails, there are many ways to mark the special event. It’s been a while since we have had a coronation to commemorate (almost 70 years!), but Odin Events are no stranger to a royally good event! Here are some of our favourite packages we are offering to mark the occasion:
Coronation Trail: Featuring 10 iconic symbols for King Charles including his crown, throne and favourite dog, Jack Russell; this trail also features some lesser-known fun facts about Charles, such as a pair of hiking boots to symbolise his favourite hobby! Participants follow the map on their leaflet to find the items hidden around the town’s shop windows for the chance to win a prize!
Street Party: Street parties have grown in popularity across the country for jubilees, so we have a fair few under our belt already! Close one of your local streets to host your very own street party and bring your local community together! Past street parties included games and activities suitable for the whole family, amazing live acts, photo opportunities and a sea of red, white and blue theming.
Mobile Climbing Wall: Our mobile climbing wall is always highly anticipated at events, let participants reach the top at their own leisure or bring out their competitive sides with our leaderboard – all managed by our fully-trained and friendly staff at all times.
Stilt Walkers: Walk-around acts require minimal setup and take up little space, making them a low-maintenance entertainment option. Walk-around acts can also add to the ambience of the event, enhancing the entire atmosphere of the event.
Arts and crafts workshop: Children can come along to decorate their very own crown jewels to wear around with pride in our drop-in arts and crafts workshops. We provide everything needed for the activity, as well as a team of friendly staff to make sure all goes smoothly. The Tower of London will be envious to not have such pieces in its collection!
No matter how you choose to celebrate, putting on an event to mark King Charles’ coronation is a great way to bring the community together to celebrate such a historical day.
