Creating a Bespoke Christmas Trail

At Odin Events, we specialise in delivering top quality Christmas-themed Trails to towns and shopping centres across the UK during the festive season. But what happens when a client wants something that no one else has?

We get in the workshop and bring a brand new trail to life!

We were approached in 2023 to create a brand new trail for a shopping centre that was looking for something new and fresh, to compete with other nearby christmas trails.

Our creative team got to work in our workshop, where they meticulously handcrafted different elements of the snowman trail, building the new snowman trail from scratch. The trail featured a series of delightful snowman scenes, such as:

Roasting Marshmallows
Choir Singing
Sledging
Skiing

The trail needed to be family-friendly, encourage exploration, and offer photo-worthy moments that visitors could share on social media, increasing the shopping centre’s visibility and footfall.

The Snowman Trail was installed in the shopping centre in key locations across the centre by our team. The trail install was more thorough than a typical Christmas trail, as each snowman was surrounded by relevant theming.

One of the main challenges we encountered when creating this trail was ensuring that the snowman scenes were durable and weather-resistant, as they would be exposed to the elements throughout the festive period. To address this, we used high-quality materials and protective coatings during the prop build, to prevent any wear or damage during its 6-week stint.

Visitors were delighted by the festive scenes, with many sharing their experiences on social media using a dedicated hashtag to match the shopping centre’s social media campaign. This Christmas-themed trail attracted a significant number of visitors to the shopping centre, boosting local business and enhancing the overall festive experience.

The success of the trail highlights our expertise and abilities in crafting bespoke, high-impact events that engage audiences.
