The Burnley Dinosaur Trail

We were asked by Burnley Business Improvement District to set up a Dinosaur Trail during the school summer holidays, which encouraged footfall in Burnley Town Centre.

To generate a buzz about the summer Dinosaur Trail, a launch event was held in Burnley Town Centre featuring dinosaur puppeteers who held regular interactive Dinosaur shows for members of the public.

Throughout the summer members of the public could pick up a Dinosaur Trail booklet from a number of locations in Burnley. As well as a map showing the locations of the nine Dinosaur Props waiting to be discovered, the Dinosaur Trail booklet also included a colouring sheet.

Once all nine Dinosaurs had been ticked off in the Dinosaur Trail booklet, all completed forms were entered into a prize draw to win a Dinosaur storybook and shopping vouchers.

Burnley's dinosaur trail was funded through the Holiday Activities and Food initiative.
