The fully-immersive experience began as guests, armed with their very own boarding passes and customised North Pole Passports, were guided through the naughty or nice security check-in and are then seated in Premium Economy for an in-flight elf-and-safety briefing hosted by Peppermint, the mischievous Head Elf.
Guests then made their way through the festively decorated aircraft, complete with snow, real Christmas trees and a Northern Lights-inspired display, passing elves who are hard at work wrapping presents, then through a big red door and into Father Christmas’ office.
There, guests met Father Christmas for photos and gathered around the log fire for a group story about how Negus and Cotswold Airport is set to save Christmas. Children left with a book and a packet of reindeer food.
As guests disembarked the aircraft, they met Mrs Claus in a full-size Gingerbread House where they decorated their own gingerbread to take home.
Finally, children were led into a Toy Factory where they met elves who were busy assembling toys ready to be wrapped. Each child had the chance to pick a teddy bear, build it and take it home. Adults receive a mince pie and hot mulled wine.
We also hosted a number of 'Northern Lights' SEN sessions which were dedicated sessions where the experience was quieter, had reduced light, and time slots were extended to allow extra time on the aircraft.
