Christmas is just around the corner, which may leave some scratching their heads about what their Christmas events will look like. To make planning easier, we have compiled the top five themes that we anticipate to be popular this festive season, as well as tips, tricks and products to help you bring each theme to life.
1. Winter Wonderland
A Winter Wonderland should encapsulate all things arctic, icy, and wintery. We are ditching the red and green for this one, “Winter Wonderland” should encapsulate all things arctic, icy and wintery. We associate this theme with white, silver and powder blue hues, which should be included in the theming to properly – check out the images below to see P.Louise nail the theme for their Winter Wonderland themed product launch shoot!
Inflatable Snow Globes fit in perfectly with Winter Wonderland theming, making a perfect centrepiece. Each Inflatable Snow Globe comes with artificial snow inside, which will float and flutter around during operation – just like a real snow globe. The Inflatable Globe also offers bespoke backdrops and skirting, a perfect finishing touch to tie in with your theme.
Penguins are one of the Arctic’s most iconic inhabitants, making Penguin props a no brainer to add to Winter Wonderland themed events. Our penguin props are carefully crafted to resemble their real-life counterparts, featuring intricate details, vibrant colours, and lifelike features that make them an interesting addition to any event setting – you can even place them inside of the Inflatable Snow Globe!
2. Santa's Grotto
Santa’s Grotto is a classic Christmas theme. Everyone knows that Santa lives in the North Pole when he’s not delivering gifts around the world, but what about where he spends the rest of the year? Step into the magical world of Santa’s Grotto, where children and adults alike can experience the wonder of the North Pole. No Santa Grotto is complete without cosy cabin interiors, festive décor and twinkling fairy lights to create warmth.
Santa’s sleigh makes one massive journey a year, but when it’s not and and about, it lives in the North Pole with Santa. We have a range of sleighs available to hire, so there is guaranteed to be one that will fit your event theme.
Santa’s Throne is a key element of any grotto, we have a variety of different colours and styles, there’s one to suit any style of grotto!
3. Elf Workshop
If you want an essence of the North Pole, but don’t want a Santa Grotto, then an Elf Workshop theme is perfect for you. Elf workshops are typically bursting with colour, life and toys, of course! Elf Workshop is a good theme if you are looking to put on a more interactive experience, as there are lots of opportunities for guests to get involved.
Our giant candy cane props are vibrant, fun and perfect for an Elf Workshop theme!
The Giant Nutcracker props look like they’ve just been handcrafted by Santa’s elves, they come in a variety of different colours and stand out in a scene, thanks to their height!
4. Traditional Christmas
Traditional Christmas theming is timeless, it has an old timey look that never fails to fill guests with a warm feeling of nostalgia. Think dark green, red, gold and w hole lot of plaid! Texture and lighting plays a big part in this theme, don’t be scared to mix and match textures – velvet, fur and hessian are commonly used to create a Traditional Christmas feel to a space. When it comes to lighting, bigger isn’t always better, try and incorporate a greater amount of smaller lights such as fairy lights, table lamps and LED candles, rather than fewer big lights, it’s what gives a space the warmth and cosiness associated with Christmas.
We provide dressed Christmas trees of all colours, sizes and themes! Lit, flocked, we have it all!
Adding wreaths and garlands to your event decor enhances the festive atmosphere by bringing in natural, elegant elements, playing a big part of the Traditional Christmas theme.
5. Enchanted Christmas
Christmas is a truly magical time of year, but we have seen the incorporation of magical creatures and a shift in colour palette become more popular over the years. The use of unicorns, toadstools and other fantasy props are being incorporated into Christmas settings, accompanied with hints of pink, purple and an abundance of glitter!
Unicorns aren’t typically the first prop we think of when we think of Christmas, but it works – when paired with the right theming!
A flower wall may not seem Christmassy at first, but adding lights and baubles is an easy and innovative way to combine the two themes together.
When it comes to Christmas theming, there is a theme for everyone, and each one incorporates something different about the festive season. Odin Events are one of the UK’s leading events, entertainment and theming providers, so why not talk to us about event theming.
